A Find for Coffee Lovers at Coffeetuned
After a slow, peaceful morning sleeping in to recover from days of exploring Budapest, I decided to step out of the hotel for a very gentle start.
Tucked away on a quiet neighborhood street away from the main tourist traffic, coffeetuned provides what a coffee lover wants. A welcoming space, specialty coffee, and passionate baristas make it an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves great coffee.

Spot & Setting
After easing into the day with a much-needed slow morning to recharge from exploring Budapest, stepping into the café provides the perfect intentional pause before continuing with some more sightseeing.
Setting foot into Coffeetuned immediately lifts your spirits. A happy, warm energy fills the space the second you walk in. The baristas behind the counter make it instantly clear that coffee here is a genuine passion, not just a job.
This is what i ordered
I ordered the cupping board which allows you to try espresso, filter coffee, and a flat white side by side.
Served & Sipped
To experience the full breadth of what they do, the tasting board is an absolute must: an espresso, a batch brew, and a flat white served side by side. The baristas precisely weigh out every single dose, and the latte art poured over the flat white looked perfect but more importantly, the foam just had the perfect consistency.
I was served the Peru Rumiyacu beans from Awaken. The straight espresso was bright, with higher acidity that felt clean and floral rather than dark or nutty. The same bean, but served as a batch brew, brought out a more mellow profile, with a distinct peachy sweetness. But the real star for me was the flat white. The milk completely transformed the espresso, smoothing out the sharp notes into a wonderfully harmonious and comforting cup.
The flavor profile of the Peru Rumiyacu states “Peach, Butterscotch, and Milk Chocolate” and is characterized in the espresso by bright notes.
The acidity of the espresso is almost completely neutralized when milk is added, which was exactly to my taste.

Space & Soul
The interior gets straight to the point with a super down-to-earth aesthetic. No unnecessary frills or gimmicks.
The café has a few seats near the entrance, while a gallery staircase leads to additional seating upstairs for a quiet, relaxed pause.
The atmosphere stays calm and grounded, yet it is completely energized by the team. Hearing the baristas cheerfully sing along to their playlist behind the bar adds a rare, joyful touch that makes the environment feel genuinely welcoming and fun.
In addition to the espresso and coffee they serve, you can also find a small retail shelf in the shop stocked with the vibrant bags from roasters like Awaken, so you can take the coffee home with you if you like.
Summary & Scoring
You should definitely plan to visit Coffeetuned. The place is one of the rarer finds — small, straightforward, with a focus on the essentials. It’s simple, and without all the fuss, this place stays true to what matters most: the coffee.
A very heartfelt recommendation from my side.
