Meron is located on the Pest side of the city, in Budapest’s central Downtown Quarter in District V.
What to Expect
Excellent specialty coffee and the option to enjoy breakfast to start your day, or a hearty lunch if it’s later in the day.
I ordered the Marrakesh prepared with oat milk and Mexico Monte Azul beans, which delivered a rich, full, round, and sweet aromatic impression with a gorgeous hint of darkness. It was an incredibly pleasant, comforting sip.

Coffeetuned is located in District VI on a quiet neighborhood street, comfortably away from the main tourist traffic.
What to Expect
A straightforward, passion-driven specialty coffee experience where the focus remains purely on the craft.
I ordered their tasting board, which was an absolute highlight, allowing me to experience how the bright notes of the Peru Rumiyacu espresso beautifully smoothed out into a comforting flat white.
A small, local café that focuses on what matters most: good coffee
Intimate, cozy, and exclusive — this little café is a local gem where you can really feel the passion for coffee. With beans from Awaken, it offers carefully selected coffee and a peaceful break.
The interior gets straight to the point with a super down-to-earth aesthetic and absolutely no unnecessary frills. There are a few seats near the entrance and a gallery staircase leading to an upstairs area for a relaxed pause, while the genuine energy of the baristas makes the space feel incredibly welcoming.

I ordered the signature Kyoto Latte, which was incredibly comforting with its perfectly balanced sweetness.
A coffee I’ve never had anywhere else like this, and one that completely won me over with its chocolate notes and texture.

The bright white interior features an open-bar layout and a custom-branded portafilter machine, merging clean modern design with thoughtful cultural touches. The seating elements inside the café were actually developed with Hungary’s iconic Zsolnay factory, taking inspiration from the fluid lines and cozy warmth of traditional Budapest thermal baths. There are also a few outdoor seats available.
